The Apple Information Systems & Technology ("IS&T") organization is seeking an upbeat, ambitious and people-centered Audio Visual (AV) engineer to deliver technology solutions for the AMR Region (includes North America and South America), being responsible for maintaining high quality and productive technology environments across Apple offices and operations in the region
The AV engineer role maintains responsibility for crafting and delivering video conference and audio/visual technology that facilitates collaboration across the AMR region. This person will be responsible for design, implementation, maintenance, and planning of these technologies in accordance with established regional and global standards. Technology responsibilities include, but are not limited to, video conferencing, conference room, and entertainment industry audio/video solutions. Tight-knit collaboration with global partners and vendors to ensure alignment is needed to this role
Key Qualifications
Design, document, implement, and maintain video conference and AV solutions for conference rooms and specialized music and entertainment environments
Lead the activities of AV integration vendors on projects including review and approve proposals and CAD drawings
Ensure AV integration vendors understand the standards and deliver the solution in accordance to the requirements
Develop feedback loop to appropriately adapt AV systems in response to evolving design, business, and operational needs
Partner with other Apple teams to ensure AV solutions align with security and networking standards
Ensure local variances from standards are tracked and compatible with the global footprint
Collaborate with support teams and solve operational issue escalations
Run and support AV for broadcast and live streaming events
20% travel for project delivery in AMR region
Education & Experience
BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred
5+ years of related experience
Certifications or equivalent working experience with Cisco video conferencing solutions a plus
