Job Description

Manufacturing IT is seeking an Automation Engineer for the Arizona hub.

As an Automation Engineer your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

  • Integrate, test, install, configure, and/or support Factory automation software systems.
  • Coordinate factory requirements, map them to automation system capabilities, and recommend technical solutions.
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting to automation system problems and drive continuous improvement efforts to meet automation systems health goals, as well as emerging capability needs.
  • Serve as domain expert for a designated set of automation systems, including representing integrated needs in cross-functional and cross-site teams.
  • Position may include some software development of related enhancements, supplemental systems, and/or support and monitoring tools.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Qualifications listed as preferred or additional will be considered a plus factor for applicants.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computing Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering or any other related field

Minimum Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in:

  • Basic to intermediate programming skills with experience developing applications/support scripts in a variety of languages and platforms including C#, Java, Perl, Python, VBScript, JavaScript, PowerShell, ASP/ASP.NET, UNIX
  • Windows management as pertains to application installs - IIS/FTP, Server Admin, Services, Clustering, COM+

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in:

  • Factory Applications or Business Processes
  • Databases with including Oracle, MSSQL and experience with SQL queries/optimization
