Within our organization we're looking for an individual who can specialize in both understanding and resolving automatability issues, as well as authoritatively collaborating with other teams to develop and implement extraordinary solutions. You will work closely with many teams both technical and non-technical in nature, including Engineering (Design and Test teams), GSM, CapEx in addition to working closely with our contract manufacturers. Given the structure of our organization and the unique style of this role, this position has a high level of visibility within the Operations organization, with executive level communication necessary on a regular basis.

Key Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in Automation Design role with 5+ of those years in a consultative or oversight level.
• Proven and comprehensive understanding of all elements of automation including PLC's, SW communication architecture and electro-mechanical design.
• Consistent record of delivering large scale complex projects from NPI to mass production, preferably in a consumer electronics environment.
• Ability to see opportunities to develop processes for standardized execution to improve organizational performance and efficiency.
• Comprehensive understanding of high-volume manufacturing test processes preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills with the ability to make decisions related to automation tasks considering both technical and business ramifications.
• High level of self-direction.
• Highly analytical in solving issues and providing direction. Able to think strategically and provide creative solutions to complex problems.

This opportunity encompasses the following:
Leading and developing OpsTE's efforts to support the deployment of automation compatible test station solutions across all programs.
Provide consultation/subject matter expertise to DRIs as necessary to support development and qualification efforts.
Identify, and continuously improve our respective processes and gain cross functional agreement on key changes.
Ensure the transfer of best practices across product lines, and become to primary point of contact for other test teams wishing to leverage the benefits of automation.

Education & Experience

BS/MS in Engineering (EE, ME, CS) or equivalent, MS preferred. MBA is definitely a plus.
