The Interactive Media Group (IMG) is at the center of audio, video and graphics support in Apple's innovative products, including the AirPods, HomePod, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV.

IMG's Audio team provides the audio foundation for various high profile features like Game Audio, Siri, FaceTime, media capture, playback and API's for third party developers to enrich our platforms. The team is looking for hardworking engineers who are passionate about building audio features and products for millions of customers and care about overall user experience. You will revolutionize the audio experience for game and future audio technologies.

Key Qualifications

• Proficiency in C/C++, Objective-C, and/or Swift
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills
• Exemplary written communication skills

This is a high visibility job that involves a deep understanding of what everyone on the team is working on. You will combine your love of audio with a strong dedication to product quality and reliability. Excellent communication and collaboration are a requirement, as you will be asked to work closely with team members and other engineering teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Development, deployment and maintenance of automated tests against existing and inflight hardware
- Analysis of test results and delivering of clear and measurable bug reports
- Development of high-quality audio test and automation frameworks
- Mentoring and evangelizing standard methodologies

Education & Experience

BS or MS in CS, EE, or related, with an interest in digital audio

Additional Requirements

• Preferred, but not required
• - Experience developing tools and frameworks
• - Experience designing implementing maintaining automated regression tests
• A Plus
• - Experience with real-time audio handling (sample rates, buffering, PCM, drivers, etc.)
• - Strong interest in digital audio technology is a plus
• - Experience with and a passion for audio / music applications is a plus
