Developing audio electronics, working with system teams and multi-functional groups to continuously push the envelope of audio technology implemented in Apple products
Driving the audio hardware architecture of Apple audio subsystems
Driving the audio hardware architecture of new custom silicon for future products
Spearhead solving difficult technical problems
Developing prototypes to evaluate new designs
Performing schematic capture and layout
Performing audio performance testing and validation of designs
Thoroughly document hardware architecture and systems designs

Key Qualifications

  • Applications background using audio silicon
  • Product background building audio related consumer electronics
  • Silicon design and manufacturing (power supply, analog sensors and/or audio circuit design) Prototyping circuits and products in a lab
  • Fast paced high volume consumer electronics design experience

Description

Seeking enthusiastic analog/audio electrical engineers for the Apple Acoustics team to define, design and integrate audio electronics in Apple products.

Responsibilities include definition, architecture, design, implementation and integration of the analog subsystem.

Further duties include: schematic design and layout reviews, prototype bring up and debugging, production manufacturing and test support, hardware debug, functional verification, SW/FW verification and signal characterization.

The applicant must have phenomenal EE fundamentals with a focus on analog and solid fundamentals on digital electronics. The applicant should be familiar with the design of portable low-power products, preferably with experience in a consumer electronics environment dealing with high- volume and high- quality products.

Education & Experience

Most of our engineers have advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics or an equivalent field, but if you've followed a different path to expertise in EE, acoustics, vibration, noise control, or sound quality, that's fine too.
