Our software products are used by power systems experts around the world to configure and commission protection and control systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities


1. Understand specific product line(s) and product applications. Analyze competitor products and prepare technical product comparison reports.
2. Prepare and maintain product documentation, including data sheets, flyers, instruction manuals, guide form specifications, release notes and service bulletins with supervision.
3. Participate with development engineers and product managers to prioritize development activities to meet customer needs while accomplishing objectives.
4. Participate in specifying product requirements, and work closely with product managers to ensure product features and functionality meet the customer/market needs.
5. Maintain an end user system operational understanding of how specific technology families are used and have a clear understanding of the functional priority.
6. Support marketing in the creation of materials for use in educating customers on successful examples of SEL product applications.
7. Continuously identify, measure, follow, and improve R&D processes.
8. Understand. Create. Simplify.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications


B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering
Working knowledge of electric power or industrial system integration and automation practices and philosophies
Basic marketing experience
Good technical and marketing presentation skills
Willing to travel up to 25%
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications


Project management and/or project technical leadership
Experience with electric utility relay and telecommunications
Specifying graphical user interface
