Job Description:

This role is for the AMDR Array Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead. This lead is responsible for the development and test of the hardware and firmware comprising the Air & Missile Defense Radar (AMDR). AMDR is part of the AN/SPY-6 Family of Radars, providing enhanced Anti-Air, Anti-Surface, and Ballisitc Missile Defense capability to amphibious class ships, carriers, and next-generation frigates.
  • Provides oversight of Hardware Configuration Item (HWCI) development, including configuration control, to ensure HWCIs are built within budget and schedule for required shipset deliveries.
  • Supervises and performs HWCI development and qualification.
  • Supports Land Based Test Site (LBTS) and in-plan test event planning.
  • Leads development of First Article Qualification Test (FAQT) and Environmental Qualification Test (EQT) plans, procedures, and reports
  • Acts as senior technical advisor in the development of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
  • Ensures that AMDR requirements are most effectively and efficiently implemented in the AMDR hardware while controlling cost and risk.
  • Ensures that the AMDR equipment is producible, and that best manufacturing process are implemented and appropriate quality assurance (QA) practices are used.
  • Verifies Manufacturing Plan and Schedules are attainable.
  • Develops Manufacturing documentation
  • Performs Manufacture Level (MRL) readiness assessments
  • Participates in the programs Configuration Change Board (CCB)
  • Maintains drawings, models, and other artifacts that comprise the Technical Data Package (TDP)
  • Develops Estimates at Completion (EAC) and leads the engineering estimating process
  • Direct interface to Navy customer technical community

    This position requires a current Secret U.S. Security Clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Qualifications you must have:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • A current Secret US Security Clearance.
  • Minimum 12 years relevant experience
  • Experience in developing development strategies and cost proposals
  • Experience working in an Integrated Product Team/Cross Business Team (IPT / CBT) environment to ensure effective transition of programs from design to manufacturing
  • EVMS (Earned Value Management Systems) experience
  • Working knowledge of Hardware/System Electrical engineering concepts and principles.
  • Extensive knowledge in design and Technical Development Package (TDP). TDP includes one or more of the following: development, production, fabrication, integration assembly, and customer support experience with large complex radar assemblies.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree

  • Demonstrated experience across the hardware lifecycle (R&D, design, production, fielding, sustainment, technical refresh, obsolescence redesign.)
  • Results oriented, diligent and proactive in problem resolution; organized and self-directed; hands on attitude
  • Capable of prioritizing requirements, tasks, and issues leading to rapid and efficient program execution
  • Ability to synthesize and distill technical data and present material in a timely manner to leadership and team
  • Effective presence and influential leadership capability, with the ability to interact with senior levels of leadership effectively - including customer, Raytheon and suppliers
  • Success in working directly with a USG
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated excellent leadership and communication skills to drive team performance
