Job Summary:

The Operations Workforce Optimization directorate is seeking an Associate Director to lead dual sourcing and strategic initiatives efforts. This position is responsible for managing multiple projects that effect numerous programs across the business units and reports to the Director of Operations Dual Source & Workforce Optimization.

Dual sourcing is specific to ongoing additional circuit card supply development for the Andover, MA factory to satisfy future capacity requirements for franchise programs. It also includes managing the successful execution of the Advanced Product Centers ability to provide additional capacity for RF Head and TRIMM capability per the current schedule.

This position includes program coordination and alignment of overall transition strategy, qualification planning and efforts, material reconciliation, resource management and overall cost and schedule planning and successful execution.

Working Environment:
This role is a hybrid position, which allows some work from home, but also involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending time in and around factory areas.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Lead a multi-discipline team through project planning and execution of dual source qualification and transition. This includes communication and collaboration with external suppliers and other business units.
  • Lead strategic initiatives and collaborate with other RMD functions to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • A key leadership position within the Operations Dual Source & Workforce Optimization directorate.
  • Planning and executing to plan, maintaining program budgets, schedule, mitigating risks and realizing opportunities.
  • Providing regular senior leader level briefings and elevating issues as necessary.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)
  • Twelve (12) years or more related experience within an engineering, manufacturing and/or operations environment
  • Two (2) years or more of recent project management experience transitioning engineering, manufacturing and/or technical products
  • Experience in the application of rigorous engineering principles across the product life cycle with emphasis on the manufacturing environment
  • Experience in program management and/or managing support plans such as completing basis of estimates (BOEs) and maintaining schedules
  • Experience with RF technologies, assembly, and test
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or similar continuous improvement methodologies
  • Some domestic travel required
  • U.S. Citizenship

This position requires an active and current U.S. security clearance as of day one of employment. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:
  • Advanced Degree (MS or PhD) in related technical discipline
  • Experience with cross functional acumen in Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering
  • Previous demonstrated leadership experiences in both Engineering and Operations organizations are highly desirable
  • Experience in financial planning, analysis, & cost account management (overhead, cost controls)
  • Knowledge of program management tools such as earned value, basis of estimate development, and project planning
  • Knowledge in risk identification and assessment
  • Understanding of broader policies and organizations that shape manufacturing policies within the aerospace industry and Department of Defense contractors
  • Demonstrate executive presence, excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills, solid judgment, reasoning, and decision-making abilities
  • Expert knowledge of manufacturing engineering tools and processes across a product life cycle
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
