The Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) business is searching for an HR Leader to support our Requirements & Capabilities (R&C) functional organization. The R&C organization focuses on further enabling our customers in the U.S. and around the world by understanding their mission requirements and developing solutions to deliver capabilities that meets their needs.

This role provides the successful candidate an opportunity to work in a highly dynamic functional organization partnering closely with the VP of R&C, the R&C leadership team and their HR Leader to develop and execute comprehensive people and business strategies to drive business growth.

The primary desired work location for this position is Arlington, VA nearby the greater Washington DC area. Secondarily, will consider Tewksbury, MA or Tucson, AZ office locations.

Responsibilities to anticipate:

Execute core HR processes while delivering full scope HR solutions including performance development, talent acquisition, talent development, compensation planning, change management, etc.
Lead a small team of HR professionals engaged in Front End of the Business (FEOTB) work while providing them opportunities to grow and develop their careers.
Utilize flexible styles to coach executive level leaders and their management teams to improve leadership effectiveness and success.
Analyze data and information to develop organizational understanding, facilitate alignment, and drive progress to meeting business objectives.
Design, develop and implement new functional capabilities to help increase business acumen and awareness of new business activity in the organization.
Engage in development and implementation of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
Engage with and influence leaders and employees to solve issues balancing business requirements, employee advocacy and policy compliance.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

Proven ability to influence senior leadership on a variety of HR and non-HR subjects.

Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of product development systems.
Ability to analyze data and information to develop actionable plans.
Ability to develop and implement innovative approaches to solve existing and future organizational needs.
Strong project management and integrated systems thinking.
Ability to build effective working relationships with a broad range of styles at all levels in the organization; this role will interface regularly with executive level leaders.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to proactively identify issues and opportunities.
Ability to prioritize and drive multiple and diverse efforts to closure concurrently.
Results-oriented with excellent analytical, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Communications, Psychology, or other related discipline
12+ years of applicable experience or an Advanced Degree and 10+ years of applicable experience
Experience as a people manager; encouraging and in support of performance management activities, goal setting, career counseling, employee training and /or talent development while managing employee relations issues within varying levels of the organization
Experience with HR business applications
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally

Qualifications We Value:

Masters Degree from an accredited university or college
Understanding of multiple international and domestic contract types
Experience working in federal contracting industry, particularly with Department of Defense
Experience supporting new business activities including program start-ups
Willingness to live and work in the Washington, D.C. area
