Job Summary:

Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) Digital Technology is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to lead the Systems, Software and Test Solutions department for the Digital Engineering Solutions (DES) organization. Reporting to the DES Director, this position will lead a diverse team to deliver new software capabilities and accelerate value delivery through automation while delivering outstanding support to RMD programs and engineering functional organizations as we digitally transform as an organization. This role operates in close partnership with RMD Engineering and other DT directorates such as Strategy and Architecture, Digital Infrastructure Workplace Services, Growth & Program Excellence, Program Execution and the Digital Transformation Initiatve (DTx) to deliver and accelerate solutions and processes that help take engineering development to the next level and drive competitive advantage and productivity. This role is additionally accountable for driving efficiencies through automation, complexity reduction and resource consolidation by applying data driven analytical processes and thinking into our core processes around software delivery and execution.
This position can be located near any RMD Site and requires occasional domestic travel
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Lead Digital Engineering Solutions (DES) software support execution and delivery for Systems, Software, Test and Whole Life engineering tools for all RMD programs, functions and initiatives
  • Drive innovation and adoption of new technologies and methods, such as Agile and Digital Engineering
  • Automate delivery of engineering solutions, services and environments
  • Manage, improve and maintain DES foundational standards and work instructions deploying common solutions and driving common workflow and practices
  • Influence strategy to manage software asset inventory and lifecycle to drive cost efficiencies and reduce tool complexity
  • Oversee a portfolio strategy to manage high-impact projects and prioritize investments and resources across Engineering DES
  • Capture future workforce needs and support the organizations development and acquisition of necessary talent
  • Lead employee engagement, organizational change management and communications to inform, align and empower the DES organization
  • Collaborate across organizational boundaries to create better value for the company and its employees
  • Champion process and product improvements

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors degree; preferably in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
  • 12 years experience, preferably across engineering or digital technology
  • Project management experience with leading the development and execution of technology projects
  • Prior experience building, leading and developing teams
  • Experience briefing at the executive/business leadership level
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Strong critical thinking skills, ability to exercise independent judgment and manage complexity and ambiguity

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
