Applications are sought for Assistant Professor positions in the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (SEEE) in University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland, through UCD's Ad Astra Fellows Programme. 

 

The School has a long and distinguished record of contribution and achievement in education and research across all major fields within the discipline, including biomedical engineering, communications and integrated circuits, optimisation and control, and electrical power systems (please see our School website at http://www.ucd.ie/eleceng). Its full-time academic staff includes five IEEE Fellows. The School is committed to the highest international standards of undergraduate teaching, learning and student development within a research-informed
environment.

Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant discipline, be committed to high-quality university-level teaching, learning and student support, and have a strong research track record in an area that complements the existing profile of the School, reflected in high-quality publications.

Application process:
Applications will consist of a cover letter, in which the applicant will describe how their academic and research profile aligns with one or more of the UCD strategic themes (1. Creating a Sustainable Global Society, 2. Transforming through Digital Technology, 3. Building a Healthy World, 4. Empowering Humanity), a complete CV including all research publications and research grants to date together with any publications submitted for publication but not yet published, and the names and the contact details of three potential referees. 

 

Salary Scale:  €55,397 - €87,724 per annum.
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Irish Department of Finance guidelines. The posts come with a 5-Year (Fixed Term) contract, with a permanency review after 4 years.
Closing date: 17.00hrs (Local Irish Time) on 14th February 2022.
