Assistant Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering - Tenure-Track Position

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Lafayette College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor beginning in July 2020. The department is especially interested in candidates with potential for interdisciplinary connections in areas including (but not limited to) embedded systems, robotics, computer architecture, the internet of things, e-Health, cyber-physical systems, and autonomous systems. The department is seeking candidates with a passion for undergraduate teaching and mentoring.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses across the digital stem of the ECE curriculum and mentor capstone design projects.
  • Establish a research program that can engage undergraduates and result in the publication of scholarly work in peer-reviewed venues.
  • Report among undergraduate-focused institutions.
  • Enable students to focus in the areas of robotics, bioengineering, and environment and energy.

 

Qualifications:

  • Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Evidence of a promising scholarly trajectory in the applicant’s area(s) of expertise is expected.
