General Description / Primary Purpose The School of Engineering at the University of North Florida (UNF) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Electrical Engineering at the Assistant Professor level, commencing in August 2020. An earned Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, or other closely related field, with a specialization in signal processing is required. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in Biomedical Signal Processing, including but not limited to: Neuroengineering, Biomedical Optics, Medical Imaging, mHealth, Rehabilitation Engineering, and Physical Human-Machine interaction. A commitment to excellence in teaching and research will be expected of the successful candidate, along with a willingness to learn. Collegiality, active service and participation in governance in accordance with the vision and mission of the school, college and university are also expected. Requirements

Earned Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, or other closely related field, with a specialization in signal processing is required.

This position requires a level II background check, which includes fingerprinting. In conjunction with the University’s policy, this position may also require a credit check.

The School of Engineering at the University of North Florida (UNF) invites applications for a tenure-track position in Electrical Engineering, as an Assistant Professor. An earned doctorate in electrical engineering or a closely related field is required. Teaching experience and a commitment to excellence in teaching will be expected of the successful candidate, along with a demonstrated ability to establish/conduct a productive research program that will complement and support the on-going programs in Electrical Engineering (EE) and the School of Engineering (SoE). All research areas of EE will be considered and the successful candidate will bring expertise that both enhances collaborative opportunities among the EE faculty and contributes to growth of the SoE’s cross-discipline research projects (e.g., manufacturing, robotics, assistive technologies, cybersecurity, transportation). A Professional Engineer license and industrial experience are desired but not necessary. Collegiality, active service, and participation in governance in accordance with the vision and mission of the school, college and university are also expected.
