Assistant Professor, Electrical Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Computer at Binghamton University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor to begin fall 2022.

The department will consider exceptional candidates in all areas of electrical engineering and is particularly interested in candidates whose primary research expertise is in robotics, biomedical sensors & systems, or electromagnetics.

The successful applicant will be expected to develop an externally funded research program and have a commitment to excellence in teaching at the BS, MS, and PhD levels.

The department has academic programs at the BS, MS, and PhD levels in electrical and computer engineering. Currently the combined program has over 300 undergraduates, 90 master’s students, and 50 PhD students, taught and mentored by 19 tenure/tenure track faculty.   The ECE department is located in a new, well-equipped research building. Primary areas of research conducted by faculty and students include: (1) DSP & Communications, (2) Power & Energy (3) Information Assurance, (4) Computer Design & Networks, (5) Micro & Opto-electronics, and (6) Controls & Laser Communication. Requirements
