The Department of Computer Science at Louisiana State University in Shreveport invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 3 courses per semester (9 credit hours) beginning in the fall of 2022-23. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in computer science or a closely related discipline, teaching experience, and a strong research record or research potential.

 

Strong candidates in all areas of computer science are encouraged to apply, but preference will be given to applicants with expertise in software development, networking, and/or cyber security.

 

LSUS has recently opened a Cyber Collaboratory consisting of over 10,000 square feet of space devoted to interdisciplinary research across the campus. The Collaboratory has labs for Cyber Security, AI, Robotics and IoT. The successful applicant will be expected to work with research projects and contribute to the body of knowledge associated with the Collaboratory.
