Widener University's School of Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the electrical engineering department with expertise in robotics, mechatronics, controls or embedded systems. The School of Engineering consists of six departments of biomedical, chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical and robotics engineering. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package along with a professional environment designed to enhance career development. The successful candidate is expected to publish scholarly work in peer-reviewed technical journals, and develop and sustain an externally funded research program. The position will remain open until filled.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

Earned doctorate in electrical engineering or a closely-related field in engineering or computer science; Candidates should be qualified to teach undergraduate and graduate courses such as controls, computer vision, autonomous systems, collaborative robots, machine learning, artificial intelligence or adaptive robots; Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and strong commitment to excellence in engineering education.

Preference will be given to candidates with relevant research and/or industrial experience.
