As an integral part of Intel's new IDM2.0 strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry Services (IFS), a fully vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and major provider of US and European-based capacity to serve customers globally. Intel Foundry Services will be differentiated from other Foundry offerings with a combination of leading-edge packaging and process technology, committed capacity in the US and Europe - available for customers globally - and a world-class IP portfolio that customers can choose from including x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric and other critical foundational IP, along with Arm and RISC-V ecosystem IPs.

If you have a strong technical background and like customer interaction, this is the position for you. Intel Foundry Services (IFS) is looking for candidates with strong technical skills in ASIC/SOC/IP design and methodology to work with our customers. The selected candidate, will drive IFS technologies into customers engineering teams as well as be the customer advocate back into Intel Technology and Design Kit teams

Responsibilities may include:

  • Technical support of customer accounts participating in customer project life cycle

  • Preparing and delivering technical training presentations and supporting presales/postsales activities

  • Provide ongoing support on PPA and ASIC Design issues related to Foundry collaterals and reference flows

  • Provide expert - level support to customer designs on ASIC techfile and methodology

  • Create or review content and drive quality of design kits and documentation going to customers

  • Knock down all barriers to successful customer testchip and product tapeins


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Qualifications listed as preferred or additional will be considered a plus factor for applicants.

Educational Requirement
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study

Minimum Requirements

5+years of experience in the Semiconductor industry. Advanced degrees will be considered with fewer years of experience.
3+ years of experience in Design Automation, Physical Design, ASIC Design Flows, Timing Closure, and/or backend ASIC design
3+ years of experience in an EDA environment using tools such as ICC2/Fusion Compiler, Cadence tools like Innovus, Tempus, PrimeTime, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience in a Customer Facing role a plus, but not required
Direct experience supporting internal or external foundry customers/suppliers
