Marcom is Apple's Global Marketing Communications group. We lead all of Apple's advertising and marketing to ensure the creative development and implementation of World Class communications

Under the limited direction of an Associate Creative Director. role of Sr. Art Director designs the Retail platform and interfaces for apple.com, the Apple Store app, digital signage, and other interactive projects

This position requires a proven track record of graphic design and art direction for the web and for iOS devices, particularly for the marketing and commerce of major brands; a strong knowledge of interactive creative development processes; and experience developing creative solutions with a relatively high level of autonomy

Key Qualifications

  • You have a minimum 7 to 10 meaningful (preferably agency) experience specializing in visual design for the web
  • Serves as a resource to, and supervises the work of, production designers
  • You have experience in advertising, marketing, corporate identity, brand management, sales promotion and/or new media communication
  • You have expertise in developing creative solutions in a variety of campaigns, across a broad range of problems and media, including advertising, graphic design, Corporate ID, interactive, and collateral
  • You have knowledge of the requirements of the creative process including typical time and resources needed to produce with efficiency quality work on time, and to specification
  • You are an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing and engender trust and respect within the creative and product manager community
  • You keep a level head and staying calm in the storm to get the job done
  • You are proficient in design software including, but not limited to, Illustrator and Photoshop

Description
- Leads and directs the design of an interactive project, from concept through to code
- Reviews creative work with the group's senior creative staff to get feedback on direction, and confirm work is aligned with other activities in the group.
- Accountable for successful conception and execution of visual creative direction
- Develops innovative and on-strategy designs and experiences, which are highly resolved from a formal perspective, and which meet the objectives of the assignment
- Solves problems conceptually in collaboration with the broader interactive team, including writers, UX designers, creative technologists, and developers
- Art directs external agencies, production designers, photographers, and illustrators as necessary
- Presents persuasively and clearly articulating design rationale
- Manages interns by keeping their work load balanced, providing useful feedback on their work, and working with them to identify areas for growth

Education & Experience

BA or BFA in Graphic Design or other related design discipline preferred.
