Job Description

Intel XPU Hardware Architecture team is looking for passionate and experienced individual to help develop the architecture modeling of the next generation of highly efficient XPU architectures for Intel.  This individual will be a member of the small architecture team that works with larger teams of 3D, Compute and Machine learning performance architects, hardware design engineers and compiler engineers to build new XPU products.

 

You will help us with the following responsibilities:

  • Work with a team to define, implement, and validate high-level functional and performance models for XPU Shader pipeline, execution unit, load-store and memory and cache pipelines
  • Enable 3d, HPC and Machine Learning workloads on architecture simulators to enable the study of the best-in-class features for performance and power
  • Support SW & HW teams for performance and power Attainment during pre-silicon and post-silicon execution

Qualifications

Minimum skills and experience:

Must have a Masters Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,  Mathematics, or a related field with 3+ years of industry experience.  Or a have a PhD in the same fields with 1+ years of research or industry experience.

Your experience should be in the following:    

  • Programming Skills in C/C++ and standard version control tools like Git or perforce.
  • Experience in related architecture or functional modeling in one or more of the following areas:  CPU, micro-processor, DSP, GPU shader pipeline, Cache or memory pipeline.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Unix or Windows software development,
  • Delivering high quality IP development (Modeling or RTL or Design or Validation)
  • Scripting language like Python and other high productive programming language like Go
  • Logical design and modeling language like SystemC, Verilog or SystemVerilog .
  • Synopsys/Candence tools to debug RTL waveform
  • 3D workload performance on modern GPU (mobile or discrete) 
  • Graphics and GPGPU programming APIs (OpenCL, DX, Vulkan, etc.)
  • GPU high performance kernel optimization for machine learning and raytracing.
  • Design or Validation of Complex GPU features Across multiple cluster units.
  • Floating point design and algorithm, numerical error analysis
  • SIMD architecture and micro-architecture

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$110,720.00-$183,250.00
