Are you ready to explore a new technology and product space with a collaborative team? Apple's Technology Development Group is seeking a skilled iOS software engineer to build a new system application to enable AR experiences. This team is building the core foundational platform for some of Apple's most advanced technologies including the augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) support offered in ARKit and Metal. Key Qualifications

  • Experience building stable, long-running system applications or services
  • Proficiency developing software for iOS
  • Experience working with iOS Notifications or Widgets
  • Proficient in Objective-C
  • Knowledge of OS graphics, display, and events systems
  • Ability to write scalable, testable and maintainable code
  • Excellent software design, problem solving and debugging skills
  • Proven fundamental knowledge of software engineering techniques, methodologies and standard methodologies

This system application is core to enabling new advanced graphics and latency critical capabilities for ARKit. Education & Experience

MS in Computer Science or equivalent

Minimum of 3 years industry experience

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve multithreading issues
  • Proficient in OOP and software design patterns
  • Good knowledge of data structures and established algorithms
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Expert knowledge of at least 1 source control tool (e.g. GIT, SVN)
  • Good understanding of various SDLC methodologies
  • Open to creative feedback, and bringing creative solutions to the table
  • Highly organized and motivated with a deep desire to prove themselves within a company of talented individuals
  • Self-motivated, creative and optimistic problem solver
