The applications Engineer will support and deliver the highest quality techincal support to the QSC systems integrators, consultants and end users in the UK. Providing hardware and software application support as well as supporting the team in delivering training curriculum for Q-SYS and other specialty QSC platforms.

Responsibilities:
* Provide Applications support and QSC Training content to the UK market.
* Ensure the highest level of customer experience whilst identifying solutions to software and hardware issues.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including programming, commissioning and network configuration.
* Track and monitor system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits.
* Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. product managers).
* Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers whilst ensuring all issues are logged and accordingly.
* Manage the follow up procedure to ensure systems are fully functional after troubleshooting.
* Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals.
* Maintain and build an excellent relationship with customers and end users.
* In conjunction with the product development teams participate in market research, competitor and customer surveys.
* Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
* Attend industry training and develop relevant knowledge and skills to enhance performance.

Education:
* Exceptional technical ability with a detail oriented approach.

* Strong people management and leadership skills.
* Confident and engaging presentation skills.
* Excellent communication skills – with the ability to translate technical information for all types of audiences.
* Professionally presented with natural gravitas.
* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
* Fluent English language skills (both verbal and written).
* Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, installation Engineer, Commissioning Technician or similar role.
* Strong experience in supporting audio visual or IT infrastructure services is key.
* Commercially astute with the ability to understand a complex sales process.
* Proven expertise managing complex systems within a corporate AV/IT environment.
* Supported products and services NOT exclusively based on hardware.
* Supported products and services to Tier 1 integrators and end users.
* Education to degree level or qualification in industry relevant field such as sound engineering. Certifications and experience with Crestron, Biamp, Cisco or Linux is preferred.
* Comprehensive understanding of audio, video and networking is essential.
