In this role you will join an extraordinary engineering team to help build a software Load Balancer platform to support the growing Apple Cloud environment. Apple is looking for senior software engineers who are passionate about building and operating a highly scalable, fault-tolerant and robust systems to support one of the largest infrastructures.

Key Qualifications

• Minimum 5-10 years proven experience and hands-on development of scalable systems
• Deep understanding of L4/L7 proxies like NGINX, Envoy or HAProxy.
• Experience with network management systems, computer networking, and Software Defined Networking.
• Experience in concurrency, realtime, multithread systems and synchronization.
• Experience with Linux kernel development, IP/Ethernet Stack and application software development.
• Proven foundation in architectural design, data structures and algorithms.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems design principles.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

As a part of this team, you will be responsible for designing , scaling and building the load balancing software platform. You will be part of a team of software engineers working on product development strategy, software architecture, design and code optimization. Our ideal candidate should drive the best design principles/rationals and ensure craftsmanship in the development process. Ideal candidate should lead projects from design concepts to development to production and establish standard methodologies for the process and tools.

Education & Experience
- MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or EE, or BS with relevant industry experience
