The Apple Cloud for Developers team focuses on enabling cloud backed experiences on all Apple platforms (iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS devices). Hundreds of millions of iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Mac users rely on our code to sync, back up, share and collaborate on their data when they're on the move.
Key Qualifications
We work on the client-side of the Apple Cloud services, building the foundations for a secure and private cloud from device to device encrypted storage in the cloud to protected computation. Apple's commitment to privacy runs deep and this team is key to extending this commitment to the cloud. This position will involve close collaboration with the CloudKit team, several teams working on server components as well as Apple's cryptography and privacy teams. This job entails both low level (C/Objective C, libdispatch, POSIX APIs) and system-level skills (synchronization protocols, framework design, IPCs, multi-process performance work, system-wide resource sharing.) Reliability is essential, and we're looking for engineers with a real passion for building complex systems that will seamlessly recover in the event of errors.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
