Job Description

Assembly and Test Technology Development (ATTD) Advanced Design and Solutions Package team is looking for a Power Integrity/Signal Integrity Electrical analysis Engineer to support a broad range of product families.

The candidate will work on Power Integrity (PI) or Signal Integrity (SI) of IC packages and is responsible for the performance of those packages.

  • PI/SI Engineers are responsible for the extraction, analysis, and optimization of the high performance interfaces for electronic components.
  • Provide technical guidance to circuit/package/board designs to optimize system performance.
  • Review electrical technical specifications and work with package design teams to assure package designs meet those specifications.
  • Will review and sign off on package designs for optimal performance.
  • Deliver design collaterals to internal and external customers to enable product development.
  • The candidate will also help to set direction within the team and organization on upcoming technologies and help to drive different solution spaces.


The candidate will have a technical understanding in the areas of Power Integrity, Signal Integrity, and electro-magnetics.

  • Self-motivated engineer who has a technical background in electrical analysis and design.
  • Willingness to work with cross functional teams including silicon IP design, package and PCB platform to define and co-optimize the PI solutions.
  • This position requires the determination of creative design approaches and solutions based on formal education and judgement, works with the design and layout teams to implement those solutions, and to verify the power performance through simulation.

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess a master's degree with 6+ month of experience or PhD degree with 1+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Must have the required degree or expect the required degree by December, 2021.


Preferred Qualifications

6+ months of experience (master's) or 1+ years of experience (PhD) in one of more of the following:

  • Circuit and electromagnetic simulation tools like: SPICE, Ansys tools HFSS, Q2D, Q3D, Cadence tools Allegro, Power SI, etc.
  • Signal integrity, RF/power integrity, or related experience in the actual product design.
  • Integrated Circuit (IC) Packaging
