Job Description
Design Enablement (DE) is one of the key pillars enabling Intel to deliver winning products. DE's mission is to enable all Intel product design teams to get to market faster with leadership products. The Process Design Kit Group (PDK) within DE delivers Intel process technology PDKs that are optimized to work with industry standard EDA tools. In addition, PDKs are also provided to external ICF customers as well as IP vendors.
As an Analog Engineer you'll be responsible for the following:
  • Design, develop, modify and evaluate complex analog and mixed signal electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for analog and mixed signal electronic equipment and other hardware systems.
  • Determine creative design approaches and parameters.
  • Analyze equipment to establish operating data.
  • Conduct experimental tests and evaluates results.
  • Apply and uses independent evaluation to selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
  • Evaluate practical capability of vendor to support product development.
  • Also includes Analog, Mixed Signal and RF Development Engineers with specialized skills and expertise in developing Monolithic Integrated Circuits for wireless and wireline communications systems and products using CMOS, BiCMOS, SiGe, GaAs Process technologies.

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly


Qualifications

You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.


Minimum qualifications:

The candidate must have a Bachelor's OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, related engineering field. Must have the required degree or expect the required degree by December 2021.

6+ months experience in the following:

  • Perl, TCL or python
  • Physical verification flows using tools like ICV and Calibre
  • Analog design concepts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analog design concepts using pcells and pycells
  • RV flow methodology and some CAD tools like Virtuoso, Custom compiler, Spectre, Hspice, StarRc
  • Hands-on foundry experience and expertise in developing PDK
  • Possess and understanding of technology design rules and circuit design knowledge
