Job Description

The IFS team is looking for a passionate and driven individual to help define and build complex systems with highly integrated mechanical, electrical, thermal, vacuum and control requirements. As a Principal Engineer in the electrical design organization your key focus will be power, performance and area improvements to components, boards and systems. You will oversee all aspects of the design flow including the definition, design, verification, and documentation for analog power delivery and amplification modules. This individual will be a senior member of a new project team working alongside system architects and internal/external partners to design and build new modules, and will assist in partner selection. The position involves both leading and supporting projects from concept definition, detailed design, process and test development, prototyping and qualification phases, through to implementation into manufacturing.
You will connect your deep understanding of analog devices, physical design tools, board and circuit level design options to contribute towards product improvements and new product development. You will use a practical approach with focus on physical implementation to independently assess and drive complex analog physical design solutions.

Preferred experience
Proven experience as a technical lead for large and small groups in a global team environment
Creative thinking and effective communication
Experience leading external supplier projects
Deep understanding of semiconductor device physics
Analog design experience.
Signal-integrity and PCB-layout experience
Knowledge of CAD physical design software, experience with integrated circuit design tools.
Strong multidisciplinary background covering microelectronics, packaging and assembly, process development, electrical design and simulation, mechanical and thermal design and simulation


Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with 10+ years of experience . MS or PhD preferred.
