Job Description

About the Organization:

You will be part of Intel Advanced Design Organization (AD) within Design Enablement (DE) focused on pathfinding and development of advanced memory technology and circuits to enable best-in-class memory collateral/IP and product design across all generations of Intel process technology. You will be involved in deep sub-micron Analog/Mixed-Signal IC design in Intel's leading process technology, creating and implementing competitive solutions with Intel's PROM circuit technology for use in mobile, IOT, client, and server segments.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Analog/Mixed-signal Hard IP definition, design, and verification
  • Behavioral modeling
  • Managing layout development
  • Clear documentation, and communication regarding Hard IP
  • Managing and delivering various project/product requests
  • Post-Si support, including test definition and proposing experiments, as well as reviewing and dispositioning results.


Qualifications

You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's in EE/CE or related STEM major with 2+ years of semiconductor experience OR Ph.D. degree in in EE/CE or related STEM major.

Experience in Analog and VLSI design, specifically Analog/Mixed-signal Hard IP IC designs, including but not limited to:

  • Feature and specification definition of potential circuits such as ADC, Band-gap reference, Sense Amplifiers, Voltage Level Detectors, Ring Oscillators, LDO, Charge Pumps, LVR etc.
  • Exploration of novel, robust, competitive circuit solutions (considering power, area and performance) through feasibility studies including transient, statistical and stability analysis, aging circuit simulation and formal characterization.
  • Effective schematic capture and behavioral modeling of circuits in Verilog, as well as logical equivalence verification between schematic and Verilog models.
  • Physical verification of circuit through layout-extracted static timing analysis, electrical rules' check and noise analysis.
  • Reliability verification of layout: IR drop, electro-migration and self-heat analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in circuit design convergence using industry standard design and validation tools.
  • Knowledge of behavioral modeling and Verilog coding.
  • Knowledge of layout, layout strategies, and techniques (including analog techniques) to minimize variance, noise, and maximize reliability.
  • Knowledge of deep sub-micron integrated circuit (IC) design and device physics, especially as it applies to Analog/Mixed-signal designs.
  • Knowledge of process technology and analog circuit structures such as op-amps, bias circuits, current mirrors are recommended.
  • Experience in scripting languages (perl, tcl, etc.) to enhance design automation, verification, and delivery is recommended.
  • Experience in Post-Si debug from design perspective, including proposing tests and experiments, and reviewing results.
