Key Qualifications

  • 6+ years successful experience with progressively growing responsibility for management of development and delivery of commercial and manufacturing related projects
  • Skilled in administration and management of personnel, design professionals, project management firms, construction management firms, construction contractors, and other construction consulting services
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently organize these diverse work efforts into a productive team
  • Skilled in the administration and management of multiple design and construction projects occurring concurrently
  • Experienced in dealing with a variety of project types, including both high-profile and with aggressive schedule and budget challenges
  • Strong experience negotiating design and construction contracts
  • Skilled in quality control/quality assurance methods and the ability to apply these principles to the design and construction process
  • Strong experience planning, tracking, evaluating, and reporting project design and construction activities
  • Ability to evaluate/analyze project information and utilize automated information management systems
  • Strong oral and written communications
  • Skilled in providing the highest level of customer service/satisfaction
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations; and experience in managing the full range of Federal, State and Local entitlement and building code approval processes for varying regions and jurisdictions
  • Knowledge of LEED process and all relevant construction-based, Energy-related programs
  • Special consideration will be given to registered engineers and architects, LEEP AP Certification, PMP Certification and/or licensed Class A general contractors

Description

The AMR Project Manager in Culver City will oversee the design, budgeting, construction, and delivery of Apple projects associated primarily in and around the Apple Culver City Campus. You will work with project teams and develop plans to identify expected outcomes/results for each project assigned consistent with corporate priorities and objectives

Overview of

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Identify any gaps between current and desired condition regarding regional priorities involving functions and responsibilities in his/her project team
Work with and through the project team, develop plans and accountability systems to eradicate disparity between "what is" and "what ought to be" in terms of departmental and regional expected ends/results
In collaboration with project team, create and implement an effective method of user feedback and input on associated project assignments
Lead the project team in the process of all planning, design, and construction activities
Develop the project budget based on approved scope/quality and manage costs to remain within the budget constraints with the approved scope/quality
Build and maintain project budget including securing internal approvals for capital funding
Lead the development and management of the project schedule for timely completion of projects
Assure that due diligence is used to ensure that all assigned projects are completed with the highest level of quality possible, always considering life cycle costs and budget achievement
In coordination with Contract Administration perform negotiations, administration and management of design, construction, and consultant contracts
Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance, EH&S, Manufacturing, IS&T, Security and other functional groups, as required, regarding assigned project design and construction activities and/or issues
Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local statutes and rules and regulations, related to design and construction of assigned projects
Provide complete and accurate reports in accordance with Management requirements
Perform other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned by the SPM

Education & Experience

Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Business Management, Construction Management, Construction, engineering or related field from an accredited institution. Masters Degree preferred
