Job Description

Intel's Technology Development Analytics and Technology Automation (TD ATA) group is seeking a highly motivated, energetic engineering manager to lead the Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) Product Engineering Team comprised of approximately 6 engineers. As the material handling domain for Intel's semiconductor manufacturing facilities, we are responsible for highly complex, large scale systems in a 24x7 environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing engineering team to deliver on results, culture, and learning
  • Drive technology roadmaps to enable innovative solutions for Intel's manufacturing
  • Requirement's definition, communication, and alignment with Intel stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Ownership of systems life-cycle management from concept to end-of-life for AMHS
  • Driving new system integration, implementation, and system expansions qualification via change control process, including proliferation to Intel factories worldwide
  • Collaboration with other Intel groups on system capacity management and risk mitigation
  • Supplier management of AMHS hardware and software systems including driving supplier product roadmap to support new capabilities, and system performance improvements
  • Managing system downtimes and production insertion readiness with flawless execution
  • On-call rotation, in-fab testing and troubleshooting, continuous improvement, system health management, and root-cause analysis

Minimum Qualifications:

BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related engineering discipline
5+ years of direct people management experience and team leadership
8+ years of experience in:

  • Robotics, mechanical, or material handling systems design, test, and validation
  • Leading design decisions in engineering groups
  • Experience in root cause analysis, equipment troubleshooting, and system life cycle management
  • Stakeholder, supplier, project, and program management
  • Data Analysis and Statistical Analysis (e.g., with SQL, JMP, Python, etc.)
  • Computer Aided Design tools (e.g., AutoCAD)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with semiconductor manufacturing factory design and large-scale systems implementation.
  • AMHS hardware, controls, and software knowledge with in-fab experience with AMHS equipment
  • Knowledge of SEMI industry physical interfaces and carriers' standards (e.g., E84, etc.), SEMI E10 metrics standard, and how to apply the standards to large-scale AMHS systems.
