The Americas Logistics team is looking for an innovative and results driven Inbound Transportation Manager. This exciting position will manage strategic partnerships and global transportation initiatives to increase scale, drive network optimization, and deliver exceptional customer experience within Apple's Supply Chain. This leader possesses an ability to build relationships, influence key internal and external stakeholders, and has a proven track record of leadership.
Key Qualifications
- A successful Inbound Transportation Manager is dynamic, driven, a natural facilitator, organized and detail oriented, excels working thru ambiguity and communicates with ease at executive levels of the organization
- Combines extraordinary analytical capabilities, business savvy, and leadership skills
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, a persistent attention to detail, and a high level of proficiency in data-driven decision making.
- Excels working in cross-functional teams while demonstrating strong work ethic and a high degree of flexibility
- Up to 20% travel required
DescriptionDevelop deep understanding of the International Air and Ocean transportation market to enable optimization and scalability within the Apple Supply Chain
Shape, communicate, and drive Apple's transportation goals through influencing internally and externally
Select carriers and logistics providers to ensure that Apple's products move in a fast, secure, and cost-effective manner
Monitor key performance indicators, drive performance improvement, and own relationships with our carriers
Identify areas for process improvement and innovation, investigate problems, find root causes, and develop solutions
Focus on the customer experience and adherence to our customer's key requirements
Leverage analytics to drive transportation performance and cost optimization
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to connect the dots between strategic initiatives and the Inbound transportation team
Provide clear and effective executive updates
Hire, retain, and develop top talent
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field required. MBA
or advanced degree preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Prior experience in jobs operating in complex supply chains, vendor management, and international transportation experience is desired.
