Our Cybersecurity team is presently seeking an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to support our Enterprise Network Systems. This role can be filled at either our Tewksbury, MA, or Tucson, AZ, locations and is roughly 70% remote and 30% in the office. Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity within the Global Security Services (GSS) Cybersecurity organization supporting the Enterprise Wide Area Network (eWAN). The eWAN provides centralized delivery of advanced digital technology (DT) and security services to multiple classified program efforts across the enterprise. The eWAN transforms the delivery model of classified information processing and provides critical collaboration and compute resources to key business initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience as an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) or Sr. Information System Security Officer (ISSO), with a strong understanding of Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • The eWAN Alternate Information System Security Manager (Alt. ISSM) is responsible for the authorization and compliance of information system components processing within Raytheon Technologies eWAN authorization boundary.
  • The Alt. ISSM collaborates with location-based ISSMs supporting specific eWAN Program Work Environments across more than 20 Raytheon Technologies facilities.
  • You are responsible for change control and approval, execution of Type Authorization, and management of the eWAN System Security Plan.
  • You will lead and supervise a team of eWAN Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) supporting change control, including user and asset management.
  • This position reports to the eWAN Cybersecurity Operations Manager.

Important note: Within six months of hire date, you must obtain and maintain a Security professional certification commensurate with DoD 8570.1 IAM Level II certification CISSP/CISM/GSLC or other applicable certification, if you do not already have this certification.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems Management, Management Information Technology, Criminal Justice, Business, Math or other relevant field.
    • An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Masters is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.
  • Eight (8) years of cyber/systems security/engineering experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:
  • Current Department of Defense secret clearance
  • Strong understanding of the DCSA Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM) and associated requirements
  • Understanding of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Experience interpreting, implementing, and assessing Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity hardening practices for major technical platforms (Windows, Linux, network hardware, hypervisors, etc.)
  • Experience as an ISSM or Sr. ISSO
  • Experience with large multi-facility networks including diverse and complex components
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) work practices
  • A passion for leading teams through change and supporting employee development
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organization skills including attention to detail, ability to multitask
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and work under pressure to meet project deadlines
  • Working knowledge of cloud security principles
