Skunk Works


This position is for an Airframe Dynamics Analysis Team with Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works® Advanced Development Programs. The candidate will be expected to use their technical expertise to develop dynamics analysis methods and perform analysis of aircraft structures. Candidate must be able to lead a team in the planning and execution of the following Structural Dynamics tasks:
- Flutter and Aeroservoelastic Analysis and Flight Testing
- Ground Vibration Testing and Data Analysis
- Metallic and Composite Sonic Fatigue Analysis and Testing
- Airframe and Subcomponent Dynamic Response Analysis
- Vibration and Acoustic Noise Flight Test Planning and Data Reduction
- Vibroacoustic Environmental Criteria Development
- Aircraft Equipment Qualification Testing and Vendor Technical Support

The candidate will have advanced and thorough knowledge in the field of aircraft structural analysis and have a broad knowledge of all related disciplines. The successful candidate will act as a technical leader and a mentor to junior engineers

***Must be a US Citizen, position is located at a facility that requires special access. A Secret Security Clearance is needed and a clearance investigation must have been conducted within the last 5 years

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree required with 12 years of professional work experience
Experience in an area of air vehicle structures analysis and development
Experience leading a team

Extensive experience with MSC NASTRAN/PATRAN
Familiarity with CATIA v5
Understanding of drawing practices, material properties, and manufacturing processes
Excellent writing and communication skills
Proposal development experience
Ability to interact effectively with customers and senior management
Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
