•Primary job role is an Anomaly and Failure Resolution System (AFRS) author on the F-35 Prognostics & Health Management (PHM) team
•Selected candidate will be responsible for writing, validating and maintaining organizational-level technical and troubleshooting publications for F-35 aircraft. Successful candidate will be required to learn the authoring systems, utilize desktop publishing tools to create AFRS solution sets or update and publish revised or changed material. Candidate will convey their working knowledge of aircraft systems into publications to support F-35 operational fleets. Reading and interpreting engineering documentation and effective interaction and communication with customers, vendors, engineering, and other organizations to define and document aircraft maintenance requirements is a daily requirement in this position. Occasional travel to operational sites may be required

Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree required
•Technical writing experience.
•Aircraft maintenance experience.
•Experience with MS Office applications

Desired skills
•Bachelor’s in one of the following technical disciplines: Aeronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, Technical Writing or Technical Communications.
•Certified 7-level / CDI
•Internship at an aviation related company is considered a plus.
•Aircraft troubleshooting experience in avionics systems
•F-35 maintenance experience.
•Familiarity / direct experience with and using SGML/XML, SGML/XML Authoring.
•Removal, installation and inspection of aircraft components.
•Tools, and/or previous experience in the Authoring and Sustainment of Technical Data / Orders / Publications.
•Good coordination and communication skills
•Familiarity with Prognostics & Health Management (PHM) engineering and PHM capability development and sustainment for advanced military aircraft
•Experience at military aircraft operational sites and flight test sites
•Experience within military aircraft flight line and production operations
•Experience interacting with military aircraft maintainer customers
•Technical understanding and familiarity with the Anomaly and Failure Resolution System (AFRS) or equivalent legacy system
•Technical problem solving skills
•Database development experience
•Windows/UNIX scripting experience
•Familiarity with Technical Manual/Publications
•Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
