Whole Life Engineering (WLE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, and Maintainable and delivered on time. WLE consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices, and our customers. Our WLE disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability.

Job Summary:

As an Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Technical Expert, youll provide subject matter expertise to multiple Land Warfare & Air Defense Programs. In this role, youll be a key player in providing a high level of technical expertise with the Patriot Air Defense System.

Your overall responsibilities will include:
  • Oversight of equipment installation
  • On-site technical leadership
  • Augmenting Patriot hardware and software engineering
  • Providing expertise for maintenance, support and operations for multiple Weapon Systems, including integration with the Integrated Battle Command System (BCS)

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Your daily responsibilities will include:
  • Providing support to the Program Office
  • Providing Intermediate and Organizational Level Maintenance Support
  • Preparing program support plans including provisioning requirements, Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) impact analysis and developing Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) support
  • Reviewing and providing technical insight to Department of the Army Modification Work Orders, integration kits, software, publications and training in support of the program
  • Supporting a comprehensive program for System Integrated Check-Out (SICO)
  • Participating with Integrated Product Teams in developing and executing major logistics programs
  • Developing strong Customer Focused relationships
This role will require approximately 10-20% domestic travel ranging from 1-2 weeks in duration

An advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience may be considered for this role.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Employment Experience:
  • 8+ years experience with Army Air Defense Systems/Sensors (Patriot, Sentinel, HiMARS, or similar) or comparable DoD weapon system
  • Experience with Joint Operations, Defense Planning or Battalion Operations
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
  • Intermediate Support Element Patriot Experience
  • Warrant Officer Level Experience preferred due to the analysis, engineering support, and expertise needed as it relates to field use and deployment requirements. Feeder effort for future Major Item Repairer/Field Service Support requirements.
  • Knowledge of the Armys wholesale and retail supply systems, Army readiness reporting system, Army publications system and Army maintenance concepts or comparable DoD systems
  • Experience with Army Logistics and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) programs
  • Experience with the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
  • Skilled at system troubleshooting with knowledge of Patriot software and hardware
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
  • Experience building and leading high performing, diverse teams
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholder levels
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint
