Job Description

We are looking for an engineering manager to lead the team delivering foundational AI software capabilities for Intel's GPUs on top of Windows operating system.

Those include (but aren't limited to): Highly optimized AI features for 3D graphics and content creation applications, as well as our DirectML solution along with key related models and use cases. Your team will own all aspects of the development cycle including implementation, validation, productization and performance optimization of features. You and your team will collaborate with hardware and software teams and experts at Intel and interface with external stakeholders to deliver best-in-class support for DirectML and other key AI usages on Windows OS.

As an engineering manager your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Hiring, resource planning, tracking team member work assignments and deliverables.

  • Maintaining a strong team with Agile development culture, which emphasizes product quality, team accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Coaching and mentoring engineers.

  • Working with project stakeholders turning product requirements into development and validation plans.

  • Analyzing and implementing internal and customer specifications.

  • Managing backlog, scheduling, resourcing, and risk mitigation. Coordinating priorities and activities with other leaders to accomplish committed milestones.

  • Identifying and driving process improvement efforts to improve product quality and organizational efficiently.


Qualifications

Required skills:

  • The candidate must have a BS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related field.

  • 5+ years of manager experience with AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and/or GPU software engineering.

  • Strong people management skills. Proven track record of growing and leading a successful team delivering world-class products with high degree of independence.

  • Experienced and knowledgeable about software product life cycle, Agile methodologies, project planning, estimation, and risk management.

  • Solid written and spoken English skills. Excellent cross-geo communication skills.


One or more of the following skills will be a plus:

  • Strong technical acumen in deep learning, modern computer graphics, game engines, 3D rendering.

  • Experience in software product management and negotiation with customers.
