Role Number:200222133

Apple's Machine Intelligence group is looking for a data operations program manager who would be responsible for managing human-annotation acquisition efforts for the organization. A person in this position is responsible for managing and coordinating projects with vendors, annotation platform teams, legal, finance, and stakeholder data scientists & machine learning engineers to create data assets which are used to power and evaluate cutting-edge machine-learned experiences.

Key Qualifications

  • Your project management skills are outstanding; you are able to work with engineering counterparts to prioritize competing projects and maintain an accurate schedule for project completions.
  • You have excellent communication skills; you are able to communicate with and facilitate communication between engineering, Finance, and Legal.
  • You have experience working with vendors; you can maintain solid relationships, ensure accurate invoicing, and act as the intermediary between engineering and vendors.
  • You have experience managing large budgets; you can drive budget planning and help prioritize requests, project costs, and track current spend.
  • You are familiar with general office software and are able to maintain complex spreadsheets of requests.

Description

Responsibilities include
Prioritizing and scheduling annotation projects to align with organizational goals and timelines
Driving the budget planning for data annotation and acquisition efforts and communicating with Finance
Coordinating with vendors to establish long-term partnerships and ensure proper & accurate invoicing
Reviewing and advising the development of annotation project strategies, interfaces, and guidelines
Serving as an interface for feedback and questions from annotators back to MT engineers.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's or Master's

Additional Requirements

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in managing human annotation efforts preferred
  • Experience in data analytics and software engineering preferred
