Apple's Text-To-Speech Production Studio is looking for an especially skilled Asset Management Technician eager to get deeply involved with the systems and processes that make a professional voice studio run. By managing the hundreds of hours of data that are built each month, and facilitating tolls that drive efficiency in a production process, you'll be enabling a diverse set of creative teams to create unique synthetic voices in languages all around the world.
Key Qualifications
Apple's in-house audio production studio is continually creating and running huge amounts of data that requires specific handling. This role is responsible for the acquiring, cataloging, integrity and security of all audio assets and databases. Additionally, as the studio team closely integrates with multiple engineering teams, there must be compatible workflows, pipelines, and tools that enable and promote efficiency and automation where possible. A top candidate in this position will have sharp analytical skills, experience in professional audio production environments, and the ability to navigate the command line, running and debugging scripts written in python, using version control software (e.g. Git), and writing regular expressions.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Preparation, quality assurance, delivery, tracking, and archiving of all deliverable files, including final audio mixes.
- Management and maintenance of a centralized database
- On-site and remote DAW and Studio support for Sound Editors, Recording Engineers, and other production team members
- Set-up, maintenance, and upgrades of Studio Equipment.
- Install, configure and maintain up to date hardware and software components to ensure usability across the studio
- Designing, installing, testing and maintaining in-house (as well as 3rd party) software tools.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Audio Production, Engineering, or similar; or equivalent experience
