This position reports to the Senior Manager for Specialty Engineering (Components Engineering / EEE/ R&M) on the F-35 program. In this position the candidate will be working in Components Engineering. In this role, the candidate will develop subject matter expertise for electrical/electromechanical piece parts such as connectors, backshells, wire/cable, and switches, in support of the development, production, and sustainment phases of the F-35 program. Develop a command of the existing F-35 piece part base and the rationale behind its development. Foster strong relationships with the part supply base. Work collaboratively with design, stress, materials and processes, manufacturing, and reliability and maintainability functions to determine appropriate part requirements. Author and release requirement documentation, conduct source qualification, identify and comply with pertinent export control issues, and maintain division parts management and classification tools. Conduct supplier audits. Investigate and resolve part related issues during part procurement as well as aircraft subassembly manufacturing, aircraft final assembly, flight testing, and field support. Develop and implement effective strategies for supporting a team structured and international program

Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

**Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.**

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering

Desired skills
Effectively communicate with domestic and international contacts

Investigate methodically and determine appropriate candidate solutions

Familiarity with electrical/electromechanical parts

Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience

Familiarity with current microcircuit and semiconductor technologies

Familiarity with basic configuration management principles

The successful candidate will need an understanding of electrical/electronic parts and be able to interpret engineering drawings

The successful candidate will analyze and interpret numerical data from quality and operational maintenance data sources
