The WW(world wide) Advertising team at Apple provides oversight on Apple's advertising efforts worldwide and executes on Apple's brand and product marketing strategies to make Apple the most creatively inspiring brand in the world. We are essential to leading a productive relationship between Marcom and Apple's advertising agency partners, including our primary creative agency Media Arts Lab (MAL). The role liaises with many different groups including Finance, Legal, Product Marketing, Partner Marketing, Partner Communications, Services, Developer Relations, Online Store, Retail and Education. They also maintain strong relationships with partners around the world at Apple's and MAL's network offices. As such, developing and fostering healthy, productive, professional partnerships is an essential requirement of every member of the team.

Key Qualifications

  • Oversee creative development for all iOS products, integration across Marcom owned channels, production and implementation of all advertising campaigns globally including TV, print, outdoor, and digital creative; integrate with other Marcom teams to support key initiatives
  • Proven ability to manage Executive partners
  • Proven agency management experience to drive agency evolution/ transformation
  • Ability to lead teams, nurture talent and influence adjacent teams
  • Proven global brand building experience, including direct involvement with award-winning creative work
  • Partner with Marcom / MAL or external Agency leadership to integrate advertising across Marcom deliverables
  • Facilitate the strategic development of all advertising briefs with Marcom and agency Planning teams
  • Own advertising creative development process end to end for all iOS POD efforts
  • Ownership of the iOS POD global production budget
  • Drive communications within the Marcom team and with outside agencies to maintain creative development schedules, presentations, approval processes, legal considerations and budget management procedures to create a smooth workflow
  • Oversee confidential launch initiatives to ensure security and secrecy is maintained through the duration of the project

Description

The Advertising Director role is responsible for leading the iOS pod, a high performance global functional team, and driving the agency partnership to deliver creative work which positions our key iOS products, and impacts culture in service of the world's greatest brand.

You will oversee creative development for all iOS products, integration across Marcom owned channels, production and implementation of all advertising campaigns globally including TV, print, outdoor, and digital creative; integrate with other Marcom teams to support key initiatives.

You will partner with Marcom / MAL or external Agency leadership to integrate advertising across Marcom deliverables.

Have ownership of this pod's global production budget. Facilitate the strategic development of briefs with Marcom and agency Planning teams.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree required
