Job Description

The Advanced Packaging Supply Chain Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Technical program management of Intel's tool suppliers. 
  • Own and drive the technical working group that defines the priorities for the supplier.
  • Collaborate with Technical Development (TD) engineers to create and maintain relevant specifications and mutual expectation documents to minimize variability and subjectivity to align with operational and supplier capability requirements. 
  • Work with suppliers to define requirements and holds suppliers accountable for their manufacturing process flow to meet quality, reliability, cost, yield, and manufacturability requirements.
  • Drive continuous process and quality improvements. 
  • Will typically attend vendor school and will frequently be on the factory floor and should understand the tool they own similar to the tool owner. 
  • Lead factory escalations and Model-Based Problem-Solving driven resolution. 
  • Supports commercial commodity managers with should cost and ROI development. 
  • Managing suppliers in different geographies and early morning or late night meetings are often required.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.


 Minimum Requirements:

The candidate must have one of the following:

1. Bachelor's degree in any STEM degree with 9+ years of manufacturing/semiconductor/supply chain/engineering experience.

2. Master's in any STEM degree with 7+ years of manufacturing/semiconductor/supply chain/engineering experience.

3. Ph.D. in any STEM degree with 5 years of manufacturing/semiconductor/supply chain/engineering experience. 



 Preferred Experience:


  • Cleanroom experience.
  • Program management experience.
  • A history of successful problem-solving in a difficult environment dealing with difficult customers and/or suppliers is desired. 
  • Familiarity with technical and commercial Specs, participation in supplier working groups, and disposition of supplier change control will separate the ideal candidate from the applicant pool.
