Job Description

In this role, the candidate will work with a group of researchers in Intel Labs to develop a disruptive solution for hardware design and verification to address rapidly growing complexity. Responsibilities may include:

1. Developing domain-specific dialects based on MLIR (Multi-Level IR) for hardware design
2. Developing frontend language(s) for defining architecture/micro-architecture algorithmic models, and design transformations and partitions
3. Developing a scalable formal verification approach tightly integrated with the design process to enable provably-correct design via correct-by-construction
4. Conducting case studies with real-world designs to drive solution development

 

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.


Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications below to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum requirements:

  • The candidate must possess a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science on formal methods research related to DSL (domain-specific language), compiler, hardware architecture design, and verification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Software engineering skills in Python and C++
  • 2+ years of experience in developing practical tools/systems for DSL compiler, synthesis, and verification.
  • Experience and knowledge of computer architecture/micro-architecture, and domain-specific applications such as machine learning, security, etc.
  • Experience and knowledge on formal verification related tool development and practice.
