Job Summary:

Raytheon Missile and Defense (RMD) has a new exciting opportunity located in our Andover, MA site. We are seeking a proven, high performing administrative professional to fill a key Production Assistant role supporting multiple Value Streams (VS) in the Mission Components (MC) Integrated Operations Center (IOC). This role will support the MC Factory Operations Manager and Value Streams Leads, and staff for Cables, Electrical Component Operations (ECOps), Precision Metal Fabrication (PMF), and Production Support Services Value Streams.

In this dynamic and fast-paced role you will interface with various functional groups within the different Value Streams to understand and execute business priorities in a proactive manner. The ability to build relationships, exercise good judgment and work across the RMD matrix is critical. The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of how the Production Assistant role can support business operations performance.

The Production Assistant will support all daily business administrative and coordination responsibilities, including preparation of presentations and reports, arranging meetings, tracking expenses and represented employee (RE) overtime, arranging travel, management of calendar and email, priorities and performing special projects as required. This position will manage telephonic communications and perform other administrative tasks as necessary to promote effective and efficient operation of the department. The successful candidate must have the ability to understand the workflow of the organization and add value by being able to prioritize meeting requests and respond to phone calls on behalf of the Factory Operations Manager and Value Stream Leads.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Coordinate materials prior to meetings and ensure pre-briefs are set up prior to, when appropriate
  • Track, update and publish daily, weekly, and monthly overtime reports and other regular reports/briefs as needed
  • Interaction with Labor Relations (LR), Timekeeping, and other functions to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Inventory, order, and maintain various office supplies, forms, and computer equipment/electronic devices
  • Assist in the coordination of infrastructure moves with the various trades
  • Proactively identify ways to enable greater productivity and efficiency in role
  • Generate charts, tables, memoranda, reports, correspondence and other materials with speed and accuracy
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare expense reports
  • Coordinate and host customer visits and employee engagement meetings
  • Calendar and email Management, assist in setting and keeping priorities
  • Establish and manage follow- up system to ensure deadlines and action items are met
  • Ability to work overtime as required


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of administrative experience supporting a senior leader in a large organization or Associates degree with 2 years experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft office suite tools (MS Outlook, MS Word, Power Point, Excel)
  • Experience with calendar management, meeting scheduling and coordination, planning events, expense reports, and data reports.
  • Experience in planning and coordinating travel

  • Demonstrated experience handling multiple tasks concurrently and making quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidate must have good judgment and take initiative to complete tasks in a self-directing manner
  • Candidate should also demonstrate attention to detail, have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changes in priorities in a fast-paced environment
