Apple is looking for a manager to lead our Accommodations team who is passionate about enabling employees to do their lives best work. You'll be an experienced People manager or a seasoned Accommodations specialist who's ready to move into management. You'll inspire and lead a team of Accommodations Business Partners supporting managers, People team partners and employees through the process to request medical accommodations - putting our employees at the heart of everything we do. You'll drive efficient processes, constantly seeking ways to improve and develop existing resources and partnering deeply to find the best outcomes for our teams. You'll be data driven, utilizing data and trends to drive improvements in the ways we support our employees.

Key Qualifications

  • A seasoned, experienced professional with a demonstrated full understanding of U.S. Leave laws and ADA/ADAAA regulations
  • 3+ years of people management and experience in developing a team preferred
  • 5+ years related experience or People (HR) manager experience with demonstrated employee relations and accommodation experience
  • Experience in leading/coaching/motivating/developing teams
  • Ability to collaborate and influence key business partners with outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Successful track record partnering & collaborating with all levels of clients and stakeholders (People, Recruiting, Business leaders, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as cross-functionally
  • Proven ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication: including effective listening, writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to express thoughts in a clear and concise manner while demonstrating tact and discretion
  • Unrivaled attention to detail and consistent delivery of the highest quality of work
  • Skilled at effectively managing and prioritizing escalations or business critical situations

Description

Partner with Sr. leadership in AppleCare along with People team partners to support business initiatives with a focus on ADA requirements
Keep ER metrics monthly and review on a quarterly basis to assess where action can be taken to simplify a process, train managers, etc. in order to support a growing client base
Provide consulting on actions for and coaching to People team partners, managers and employees on a myriad of issues including:
Leaves of absence
Reasonable accommodations
Unauthorized Leaves
Position Backfill Requests
Returns from leave of absence with accommodations
Job Search
Provide coaching and consult with business partners and leaders on our obligations in the space of performance management situations with overlapping accommodation considerations
Provide return to work and accommodation process updates and training to broader People team
Build and maintain a quality relationship with internal business partners
Support larger Retail & ER projects/initiatives as needed

Team Leadership:
Manage the AppleCare Accommodations team in day-to-day case management and projects
Coach, inspire and lead your team to create scaleable and streamlined processes
Manage and develop your team, providing career development and mentorship
Provide focused training/on-the-job skill building to increase expertise of your team and our partners
Develop and provide new challenges and stretch assignments for direct reports while balancing workflow between team members

Education & Experience

BA or 5+ years of equivalent job experience preferred.
