Want to work on defining the future wireless system and standards? Join the Wireless Standards team of Intel for technology and standards development on 5G-Advanced/6G.

The Wireless Standards team of Intel is responsible for pre-standards technology development, standardization, system engineering and standards ecosystem engagement on wireless systems. The team covers wireless standards bodies and industrial forums such as 3GPP, IEEE, ATIS, CCSA, ETSI, NGMN, GSMA, ITU-R, 5GAA, 5G-ACIA, AECC, IOWN GF, etc. The candidate will work in this team as a 5G-Advanced/6G Standards Engineer in defining the future wireless system and standards.

As a 5G-Advanced/6G Standards Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Drive/contribute to technology innovations and solutions on 5G-A and 6G air interface, RAN and core network.

  • Drive/contribute to 5G-Advanced/6G pre-standards ecosystem discussion and industrial forums.

  • Drive/contribute to 5G-Advanced/6G standardization in 3GPP.

  • Support 5G-Advanced/6G products planning and development in alignment with standards.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of experience or a PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field with 1+ years of experience.

  • 3+ years of experience with:

    • Wireless communication system design.

    • 4G/5G air interface, RAN and/or 4G/5G core network.

Preferred qualifications:

  • PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields with 5+ years of wireless standards engineering experience.

  • 1+ years of experience on:

    • Cloud-computing technologies and tools.

    • AI/ML modeling and simulation.

    • Link-level, system-level or network-level simulation.

  • Publications in high-quality journals and conferences.
