The Samuel I. Ward Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Hartford invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor to start August 2020. (1) A position in robotics, with a preference for those, also having expertise in embedded systems. For more information go to http://hartford.peopleadmin.com/postings/2915 (2) A position in signal processing, the preferred specialties including digital signal processing, digital audio signal processing, image processing, signal processing for communications, radar, sonar, etc. Additionally, candidates who can instruct in at least one other area of ECE will be preferred. For further information go to http://hartford.peopleadmin.com/postings/2923 The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering Department with a teaching load of 3 courses per semester. There will also be opportunities to teach in our innovative University Interdisciplinary Studies program. Candidates should show a willingness and ability to employ technology in teaching. Additionally, candidates will be expected to remain active in creative/scholarly pursuits and seek opportunities for peer-reviewed publications. Successful applicants will be expected to participate in departmental and school committees, advise students and contribute to student recruitment and retention. Significant opportunities exist for research collaboration with faculty members within CETA, with industrial partners, and across the University.  The College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture offers undergraduate Engineering programs in Electrical, Computer, Acoustical, Biomedical, Civil, Mechanical, and Robotics. It offers undergraduate Engineering Technology degrees in Audio, Architecture, Computer and Electrical and Electromechanical. The college also offers master's programs in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, as well as Architecture. The majority of our undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET.
