As a Front-End Software Engineer at MITRE, you will help shape the user interfaces and user experiences in support of a variety of programs related to Law Enforcement, National Intelligence, and government Information Systems. Key Functions:
Applies software engineering expertise to execute and lead front-end planning, development, and testing efforts.
Communicates with customer stakeholders to understand their operational needs and determine how to design and enhance user interfaces.
Balances multiple priorities and projects and works in a dynamic environment.
Collaborates with a geographically dispersed development team.

Required Qualifications:
Secret Clearance
Proactive self-starter with excellent organizational and listening skills.
Proficient in modern web design principles and technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, JSON, and XML.
Experience with common JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as jQuery and AngularJS.
Demonstrated experience implementing and consuming RESTful web services.
Experience creating software systems using object-oriented languages such as C++ and Java.
Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems and comfortable with using the CLI.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as bash, Python, or Perl.
Experience using distributed revision control systems such as git.
Knowledgeable in agile software development practices.
Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals to shape requirements and identify the appropriate solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical field with some prior software systems engineering work experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS and 3 years related experience.
