Successful candidates will provide weather remote sensing and sensor systems engineering support (design and engineering) for several radar-related projects. Candidates will work as part of a team in the design, development, and integration of advanced radar systems. Candidates should have a clear understanding of meteorological measurement techniques, radar design, radar data analysis and signal processing. Responsibilities will include performing trade studies, design, modeling and simulation, implementation and test. Strong modeling and simulation and data analysis skills are required to understand sensor performance utilizing an in-depth knowledge of the sensor system and signal and interference phenomenology. Candidates will also be expected to perform research to advance the state of the art in sensor technologies. Candidates must have a working knowledge of radar technologies and techniques related to weather remote sensing.











Required Qualifications:
We seek candidates with exceptional technical background in weather remote sensing, sensor systems engineering and sensor signal processing/phenomenology. Skills including weather remote sensing, weather related phenomenology, sensor engineering, probability and statistics, signal detection and discrimination, and sensor and environment modeling are mandatory. Experience in radar is required.

Candidates must possess good communication skills and will interface directly with customers and contractor experts. In addition, a successful candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills and effecting when working with a diverse team.

Preferred Qualifications:
A working knowledge of sensor array processing methods (beam forming, STAP), antennas, and propagation is desired. Candidates must be self-directed and able to define focused technical efforts to enable assessments and maturation of sensor technologies. Candidates must be able to build successful relationships with government clients and their contractor teams. Outstanding written and oral communications skills. Candidates should have a masters degree in electrical engineering, physics or mathematics with direct experience in radar technologies and radar related signal processing. Candidates with doctorate degrees in electrical engineering, physics or mathematics are preferred.


Minimum Qualifications:
BS and 8 years related experience.
