Description: GTRI is looking to fill multiple positions for applicants with the skills and experience to serve as a research analyst.  The applicant will work in the military operations and wargaming domain, performing research tasks in order to describe military scenarios, wargames, and supporting documents and reports.  The applicant should have skills as a quantitative analyst, able to understand, distill, and report on data from a variety of supporting sources.  The applicant should also have skills doing qualitative and fact finding research in the applicable domain area.  Products to be developed by the applicant are to support the wargaming process, and as such will be of a quality and depth to be reliable during wargame execution, for wargame design, and for post wargame review. 

Education Requirement:

Research Engineer/Scientist I

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Research Engineer/Scientist II

  • A Master’s degree  in Computer Science or related field and three (3) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree

Experience Requirement:

  • Experience with analysis of military operations and performing quantitative analysis is essential
  • Training and education as an operations research systems analyst would be extremely beneficial
  • Strong analytical skills and quantitative skills are essential. 
  • This position requires an Active Secret Clearance
The applicant will be expected to work onsite with the government sponsor, in Quantico, Virginia.
