Description: GTRI is looking to fill multiple positions for applicants with the skills and experience to serve as an advisor and enabler of modeling and simulation resources in a wargames environment.  The applicant will work in the wargaming domain, but with a specific role of both advising on and enabling digital simulator assets, such as constructive simulators and/or game technologies, in order to support wargames and wargaming process by the government sponsor.  The applicant should have skills as a modeling and simulation professional, with background in the LVC environment, constructive simulators, data modeling and data preparation for military simulations events, and awareness of distributed simulation and supporting engineering techniques.

Education Requirement:

Research Engineer/Scientist I

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Research Engineer/Scientist II

  • A Master’s degree  in Computer Science or related field and three (3) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree

Experience Requirement:

  • Experience with constructive simulators of both the entity level and aggregate level is essential.  Experience with the OneSAF simulation system is extremely beneficial.
  • Experience with data modeling, the modeling and simulation event lifecycle, and data preparation for military scenarios is extremely beneficial. 
  • Experience with distributed simulation, especially with the High Level Architecture, is essential. 
  • Strong communication and systems engineering skills are essential. 
  •  This position requires aa Active Secret Clearance.

The applicant will be expected to work onsite with the government sponsor, in Quantico, Virginia.
