The Persistent Surveillance Systems-Tethered (PSS-T) Unique Support Equipment (USE) Field Service Representative (FSR) function is part of a specialized team providing critical support of PSS-T flight operations. The USE FSR conducts Operations & Maintenance (O&M) on diesel generator sets, high-lifts, forklifts, and Environmental Control Units (ECUs). Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical equipment operational issues, as well as specialized maintenance activities at all sites and hubs. The USE FSR recommends actions and solutions, and acts as the PSS-T local on-site specialist of the aerostat and mooring systems. Performs other duties as assigned

The physical demands of this position and the operational requirements of the equipment can be substantial. Position often requires working in extreme temperatures, at heights greater than 15 feet, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and working in confined spaces while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Prior to travel into theater, individuals must attend the U.S. Army CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) and successfully complete customer required pre-deployment physical and dental exams (USCENTCOM MOD 12 w/Tab A) (final medical deployment eligibility determination lies with the clinician providers assigned to the deployment center)

This assignment supports rotations in the United States as well as Southwest Asia. Individual will perform duties while living in austere environments. Work shifts and hours will be determined by mission requirements. Management reserves the right to transfer employees between work locations CONUS and OCONUS as needed to meet mission requirements

Total compensation may vary upon rotation assignment

Basic Qualifications
Possesses expert system and/or systems component knowledge. Must have a minimum of 18 months hands-on aerostat operations and maintenance (O&M) experience
Proficient in troubleshooting operations and support for aerostat systems
Experience in developing and generating O&M procedures, design changes, schematics, etc
Knowledgeable of aerostat repair techniques
Knowledgeable of record keeping requirements
Familiar with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
O&M experience with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)
O&M experience with EO/IR gimbaled camera systems

O&M of mechanical equipment to include one or more of the following:
• High lift vehicles and forklifts
• Hydraulics systems
• Winch systems
• Tether handling systems
• Motor generator sets
• Power switch gears
Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and engineering drawings
Proficient in computer application software operations to include, but not limited to, the MS Office Suite and all common Windows OS
Effective oral and written communication skills
Current or active DoD Secret clearance is required
Ability to pass a pre-deployment physical exam and dental exam

Desired skills
OEM trained and certified on one or more of the following:
• Mobile Electric Power (MEP) Model 806B
• Caterpillar 80Kw diesel generator sets
• Sellick Fork Truck
• JLG Man-Lift
• John Deere M1 Gator
Familiarity with military operations, acronyms, and military chain of command
